Today is such a typical cold and rainy fall day. What a perfect opportunity to stay in bed all day long and binge watch Netflix, right? I agree with you, but I also want to share some ideas with you how you can stay productive on such a rainy, boring Sunday!
1. Clean your space
One of the most rewarding things you can do on your free day. Clean your space and make your room look extra pretty!
I clean my room once a week and usually, I do it on Sundays. I found myself being more productive when my space is clean. Also, I just love it when everything looks nice and shiny again!
What I clean:
- Bedside tables
Maybe you’re already in the right mood for Christmas!? Why not start decorating your room? 🙂
2. Learn a new skill
There are a million different options available on the internet where you can learn new skills. Learning something new always makes me feel super productive.
Learning helps us grow as a person. When we learn a new skill, we get more confident, we feel efficient, we feel smart and happy.
If you don’t have any plans for today, check out these platforms and find one thing that you want to learn!
Here are some of my favourite platforms:
What’s something you’d like to learn?
3. Plan your week/month/year
A brand new week is waiting for you! Personally, I love planning my days!
Knowing what’s on my schedule makes me feel less stressed and more productive because I know I won’t forget something.
You can use the calendar app on your phone or you can download a different app, whatever works best for you.
Maybe you prefer to use an old-school physical planner like the one I use. It really doesn’t matter!
What I plan:
- My workouts
- Grocery shopping
You can also plan out the entire month or plan what goals you want to achieve in the next 12 months. You can get super creative with this!
4. Plan a spa day
When was your last official pamper day? Often we don’t take time to do all the cute beauty stuff like painting our nails and putting on face masks.
Every now and then it’s nice to have a pamper day where you get to do all the things you usually don’t make time for.
I believe that we should all work on our me-time-routine! You need to look after yourself if you want to stay productive and work smart in the long run!
You can treat yourself to a nice spa day or you can create your own at home spa!
Easy and cheap ideas:
- Face mask
- Hair mask
- Take a bubble bath
- Make your own bath bombs
- Exfoliate with a sugar scrub
5. Prepare your meals
I’m a big fan of meal prepping! Even though I don’t meal prep every single meal, I like to prepare my meals for the next day.
Especially when I have work on the next day, I like to have my food ready so that I don’t have to worry about what I’m going to eat.
There are so many meal prep ideas out there that I’m sure you will find something that you like. You can either prepare the meal itself or just the ingredients.
I like to cook different vegetables, like carrots, zucchini, bell peppers and potatoes and put them in the fridge so that they’re already cooked when I want to use them for a meal.
Meal-prepping helps me stay on track when it comes to nutrition. I love cooking and baking so I really enjoy spending time in the kitchen to prep my food!
My favourite easy meals:
- Zoodles (or regular noodles) with veggie bolognese or tomato sauce
- Oven baked vegetables with herbs, cream cheese or another dip
- Overnight oats
- Healthy apple crumble for breakfast
- Banana bread
- Rice with vegetables
- Curry Stirfry
- Stuffed bell peppers with rice or quinoa
